The Škoda 256 was a utility vehicle that was produced in Czechoslovakia by Skoda. The 256 was sold as a lorry, bus and other body types. The 256 came in two types, the  B and the G.

Type B had a was fitted with a 3137cc in-line six-cylinder OHV petrol engine. It was water-cooled and had a maximum power output of 59 kW. This gave the vehicle a top speed of up to 80 km/h.

Type G (the G stands for 'Gas') was fitted with a gas generator, so it could be powered by natural gas. The maximum power output was only 44 kW and a maximum speed dropped to 70 km/h. Other details remain the same as the Type B.
