The Alvis 11/40 was produced between 1921-1925. 54 were made in the 4 years of production.
The car had a four cylinder 1598cc engine with side valves. It was able to produce 40bhp and also featured a cone clutch and a four speed gearbox. It only had brakes on the rear wheels which where twin shoes in double-width drums, four wheel brakes where optoional on the 1924-1925 models.
The body had a pointed tail and the manifold and water circulation were improved to give a faster warm up and better fuel consumption.
They had all round semi-elliptical suspension and a wheelbase of 9ft 1/2in.
The cars cost £550 when new in 1923 for the two seater model.
