The Audi ASF (Audi Space Frame) was a concept car built in 1993, it would eventually go into production as the A8.
The car was first shown at the IAA in Frankfurt, sporting a range of technology and other gadgets. It fascinated many not only by its technology but the polished aluminium body alone would have been enough to make it a show winner. The V8 TDI showed even back then, that the diesel engine would start to come into it's own in luxury saloons in the future.
