The Benz 16/35 PS was the successor to the Benz 20/35 PS. In 1912, the 16/35 PS was replaced by the Benz 16/40 PS.
The 16/35 PS had a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3950cc and had a power output of 35 hp (26 kW) at 1600rpm. The engine power was routed through a cone clutch to a four-speed gearbox and from there via a propshaft to the rear wheels. The top speed was 50mph (80 kmh).
The were equipped with wooden or wire-spoke wheels and leaf-sprung rigid axles. The chassis cost ℳ 12,500.
