The Benz 16/40 PS was a car made by Benz & Cie between 1913 and 1914.

The car had a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3950cc and had a power output of 40 hp (29 kW) at 1700rpm.

The car appeared in 1913 as a two-seater sports model, which is also had the same size engine but produced 52 hp (38 kW) at 1850rpm or 60 hp (44 kW) at 2600rpm. This sports model was able to reach speeds of 71mph (115 kmh).

The cars were equipped with wooden or wire-spoke wheels and leaf-sprung rigid axles. The chassis cost ℳ 12,500.
