The Benz 16/50 PS was an evolution of the Benz 21/50 PS. It was made between 1921 and 1927.

The car was equipped with a six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 4160cc and a power output of 50 hp (37 kW) at 2000rpm. The engine power was transferred through a cone clutch and forwarded to a four-speed gearbox. From there the power was delivered to the rear wheels via a propshaft. The top speed was 56mph (90 kmh).

The cars were equipped with rigid axles and leaf-sprung wooden or wire-spoke wheels. The touring car was priced at RM 19,500 in 1924. Until 1926 the price dropped to RM 12,900 and the limousine cost RM 15.000.

In 1923 came a sports model, the same engine gave an output of 75 hp (55 kW) at 2800rpm. The cars had a wheelbase shortened by 6 mm and their bodies were shorter by 200mm, 90mm ​​ narrower and 150mm lower. They were only available as a touring vehicle and reached a top speed of 68mph (110 kmh).

The Sport model was discontinued in 1925, the standard model disappeared in 1927 without a successor in the wake of the cleanup after the merge to form Daimler-Benz AG.
