The Benz 18/45 PS was the successor to the stronger Benz 16/40 PS. The 18/45 PS was made between 1914 and 1921.
The car was equipped with a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 4710cc and a power output of 45 hp (33 kW) at 1650rpm. The engine power was transferred through a cone clutch and forwarded to a four-speed gearbox. From there power was driven via a propshaft to the rear wheels. The top speed was 46mph (75 kmh).
The cars were equipped with rigid axles and leaf-sprung wooden or wire-spoke wheels.
