The Benz 25/45 PS was introduced in 1909 as the larger model to Benz 24/40 PS.
The car was equipped with a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 6330cc and a power output of 45 hp (33 kW) at 1400rpm. The engine power was transferred through a cone clutch to a four-speed gearbox. From there (depending on what the customer ordered) the power drove chains or a propshaft and was delivered to the rear wheels. The top speed was 77mph (85 kmh).
The chassis was leaf-sprung and the cars came with wooden spoke wheels and tires. The standard car cost ℳ 16.000, with chain drive option costing another ℳ 1.000.
