The Brabham BT45 and its derivative models, the BT45B & BT45C were the first Brabham models with an flat-12 engine designed by Alfa Romeo.

The cars were designed by South African engineer Gordon Murray.

The car debuted at the 1976 Brazilian Grand Prix at the hands of Carlos Pace and Carlos Reutemann.

The BT45C raced in two Grands Prix in 1978.
