The British Salmson 12/55 was sportscar produced between 1934 and 1938.
The car had a 1471cc straight-four engine that produced 55bhp. The car was front engined and rear-wheel drive. The cars were fitted with an electric pump feed, crankshaft-driven dynamotor, centre-lock wire wheels, and synchro. The bore was guaranteed for 40,000 miles.
Body styles included a Sports tourer, saloon, sports saloon, fixed-head coupé and drophead coupé. All were beautifully made, if overweight.
