The Carlton Acer is kit car that was produced between the late 1980s early 1990s.

The Acer was a reproduction of the Turner Sports of the 1960s. The Acer was updated to use the Vauxhall Viva/Magnum engines and running gear.

The Acer was based on a deep box section steel chassis to which the Vauxhall components were fitted. The bodywork was made of GRP of various thicknesses. Components come from various sources, these include a Volvo 122 windscreen, Morris Marina wiper assembly and rear lights from a Sunbeam Alpine

Prices for the kit at the time were £1250. Manufacturer estimates for a shoestring build were £2000.
