Lemons

The word 'Lemon' can be used for describing a car in two ways.

The first (which is often used by people who have bought a second hand car) is that car has been found to be defective only after it has been bought. It can be a new car or a second hand one.

In this instance we are using the alternative meaning.

A 'lemon' is a car that has gone into production and has been a complete flop. This could be because it was too expensive, the built quality wasn't up to standard or people didn't like the styling.
