SHould there be a category for defunct manufacturers? HORTON11: InboxFollow me! 19:51, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

Defunct companies

There isn't any point as most classic car companies are defunct anyways. For example there where 140 car manufacturers in Britain at the start of the second world war. During the 50's there were only 30 or so!

Then perhaps ffor active companies, cause we should differentate between active ones like Dodge and defunct ones like Jensen or NSU. HORTON11: InboxFollow me! 20:01, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

I shall consult the rest of the regular editing team on the wiki and see what they say :)

I think adding categories for active and defunct companies is redundant. The wiki strictly covers classic cars, and if we categorize a company as "active", it only tells people that the company is still producing cars, most of which aren't classic, which isn't information concerning the wiki's topic.
