The Coloni FC188B was a Formula 1 car made by the Italian motorsport team Coloni. It was used in the second half of the 1988 season and in the first half of the 1989. It was raced in eleven Grand Prixs. The car was unsuccessful, the team was able to qualify it for three race appearances.
Description and Technology
The Coloni FC188B was an evolution of the 1988 FC188. The FC188B was merely an upgraded FC188. The basic structures of the FC188 remained unchanged. These were the chassis, the suspension and the engine. They were adopted for the B-model, the same method was applied to many parts of the body. New elements of the B-model, included an altered exhaust system and new front and rear wings.
The engine was still an eight-cylinder engine from Cosworth.
