The L2 and L3 were two similar sports-racing cars built by Connaught Engineering from 1948 to 1953. The L2 made its debut in 1948, while the L3 was not introduced until 1950.
Both vehicles featured components used on the Lea-Francis 14hp Sports, including its chassis, 1767cc four-cylinder engine, and transmission. The engine used for the L2 was fitted with Amal carburettors, while the L3's engine featured twin SU carburettors. A sportier version of the L3, the L3/SR, was introduced in 1951, and featured a modified L2/L3 chassis.
