The DAF Pony was a pickup truck made by DAF, from 1968 to 1969. 700 units were built.
The pony was the result of a development of a failed bid by the U.S. Army. The project was eventually awarded to an American company.
It used a modified 2-cylinder boxer engine and the 'Variomatic' gearbox from the DAF 44.
The pony could not meet the high expectations and was discontinued due to the disappointing sales figures.
