The Type AI and Type AK were two high-end cars produced between 1913 and 1915 by Delage.
The Type AI and Type AK were both launched in 1913. In that period, the range produced by Delage was represented only by these two cars. This was because the other models from the lower ends of the ranger were removed from production.
Both cars were available in two wheelbases. The Type AI had a short wheelbase (2938 mm) and a long wheelbase (3187 mm). The Type AK had a short wheelbase (2989 mm) and a long wheelbase (3401 mm).
Even the engines were different. The Type AI was fitted with a 4-cylinder unit with a displacement of 2297cc, capable of delivering 24 hp at 1600rpm. The Type AK instead had an evolution of the 2.6 litre 6-cylinder engine which had been mounted in the previous Type AH.
These cars were produced until 1915. The Type AI was replaced by the Type BI, while the Type AK was replaced by the Type BK.
