The Type DR was a high-end car produced between 1927 and 1929 by Delage.

With the arrival of the Type DR, Delage wanted to introduce a more modern car to the range with an engine between 2 and 2.5 liters.

The Type DR was available with two engines, both which had 6 cylinders. One had a displacement of 2171cc which delivered a power output of 38 hp at 3500rpm and the other with a displacement of 2517cc which developed up to 45 HP at 3600rpm.

The versions were different, however only one chassis was used.

There was a range of different versions. These were the:

  • Type DR
  • Type DRC
  • Type DR65
  • Type DR70

The DR range available as both a sedan and as a convertible, was removed from production in 1929 and was replaced the following year by the Delage DS.
