The P1 was a kitcar made by Dutton between 1970 and 1971.
The P1 was Tim Duttons first production kit car. It followed from a one off car he built called the Mantis. The P1 is believed to have had a production run of around 9 cars before giving way to the Dutton B-Type.
Based around a space frame chassis the P1 used aluminium panelling for the main bodywork with GRP for the nose, front and rear wings.
Mechanically based on the MG Midget or Austin-Healey Sprite. Like a lot of kit cars it resembles a Lotus 7
