The Excalibur Crusader was a 2+2 kit car that was produced in the 1980s and the 1990s.
The Crusader was based around a ladder frame chassis to which Ford Cortina donor components were attached. The Mk 4 and 5 Cortina were generally used, they donated their running gear and the Ford Pinto engine, although other Ford engines could be fitted such as the Cologne V6.
The bodywork was GRP incorporating steel rollover protection, separate bonnet, boot-lid and doors.
Kit packages started at around £3,000 plus VAT and completed cars cost in excess of £10,000.
