The Ford GT80 was a concept car built in 1978 by Italian, Colani.
The car was designed as a further development of the Ford GT40 for use in the Le Mans 24 hour race. Ford provided the engines for the cars which were the same as those used in the De Tomaso Pantera.
Coloni has never designed a straight-lined car and the GT80 is no exception to that rule. The car is streamlined and aerodynamic in every way including being low.
Only 3 cars were built, the first having a plastic body and last two having aluminium bodies.
