The Ford Maya II EM was a concept car built by ItalDesign in 1985.
The car was the third variation on Maya theme with the the II EM being requested by Ford as a working prototype with a longitudinal rear central engine. After the Turin Motor Show success in 1984, Ford asked ItalDesign to design the styling for the Maya II ES and of a spare car with central engine to test the mechanics on the road.
Painted in Ferrari red the Maya II EM was finished in July 1985 and immediately moved to USA at Dearborn, the headquarters of the Ford Motor Company. The engine used was a twin-turbo 3-litre Ford V6 powerplant that produced 300bhp.
