Ginetta G26

The Ginetta G26 was a four or five-seater saloon manufactured by Ginetta during the early 1980s. Only 280 were produced.

This rear-wheel drive car was typically fitted with a 2-litre Ford Pinto engine. Some of the parts, including the brakes and suspension, were used on Ford Cortinas of the time.

The chassis, which was similar in appearance to that of a few Ford cars produced during the time, was made of galvanised metal.

The doors were taken from a donor Ford Fiesta, and the car looks similar to an extended Fiesta in side profile. As one may notice from the photo to the right, the car features pop-up headlights.
