The Ginetta G29 was a two-seater sports racing car built in 1986.
During the '80's the Thundersports series of sports car races was very popular. Some manufacturers used the series to promote their models and Ginetta entered the fray with the G29. The G29 was fitted with the Mazda twin rotor Wankel engine.
A familiar story of high development costs saw only a few outings, although the car ought to have been very competitive. Thundersports only lasted a few years before most of the cars taking part became eligible for the much more prestigious International Historic series.
Only one car was built.
