The 1500 was a car built by HRG between 1939 and 1956, pausing between the war years for obvious reasons.
The 1500 had the 1496cc four-cylinder engine from the Singer 12 hp, which had a single overhead camshaft. The engine was connected to a four-speed gearbox (with synchromesh on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears) via a single-plate clutch. The engine could produce 61 bhp and had a top speed of 86 mph (138kmh).
The chassis was 8 ft 10in (3in longer than the 1100) and had quarter-ellipticl leaf-springs on the front and semi-elliptical leaf-springs on the rear. Cable operated brakes were fitted as standard.
The cars cost £425 when new.
