The Horch 25/42 PS is a military truck built between 1916 and 1922.
The truck was developed for military use during the First World War. In its time it was built in greater numbers than any other vehicle of the Horch brand. Its engine was derived from the large 4-cylinder 25/55 hp model that had been in production since 1909. Reduced to 42 hp, it powered the truck's all-rubber tyres and its 3.5-tonne payload, optionally with chain or shaft-drive.
The engine was a 6450cc four-cylinder in-line unit that produced 42hp a 3,400rpm. The top speed of the truck was 40 km/h with fuel consumption being 20 litres per 100 km.
2,073 trucks were built with each one being sold for 18,500 marks.
