The Special Ford V8 was a car made by Jensen between 1934 and 1937.
The car was a two-door, four-seater tourer. It had a lowered radiator and with its flared front wings gave a well balanced sporting look.
The engine was a 3622cc Ford V8 engine which had side-valves. The engine was mated to a three-speed gearbox (with sychromesh on the 2nd and 3rd gears) via a single-plate clutch. The engine produced 65bhp and the top speed of the car was 85mph (137kmh).
The chassis was lowered by using flatter springs and Andre Telecontrol dampers were fitted all round. The chassis was 9ft 4in long and had transverse leaf-springs in the front and the rear. Cable operated brakes were fitted.
The car cost £350 for the sports version and £430 for the saloon.
