The LG6 was a car made by Lagonda between 1937 and 1940. Only 85 cars were ever made.
The LG6 was announced at the 1937 Motor Show. It used the Meadows six-cylinder engine from the LG45. The 4453cc six-cylinder engine was of overhead push-rod design. A four-speed gearbox (with synchromesh on the 3rd and 4th gears) and a Bord & Beck single-plate clutch were fitted.
The engine produced 128bhp and the top speed of the car was 91mph (146kmh).
The LG used a lengthend version of the V12 chassis with independent torsion-bar suspension in the front and semi-elliptical leaf springs in the rear. Lockheed hydraulic brakes were fitted as well as a tandem master cylinder.
The Rapide cost £1150 in 1938 and £1250 in 1939.
