The Latham F2 Super Sports was a kit car sold between 1985 and 1990.
It was a good attempt at a new design open top sports car based on Triumph Dolomite mechanical components. The car was reminiscent of many cars. The styling isn't to everyones taste but it makes for a nice sports tourer.
A complicated but strong central monocoque chassis is the basis for the Latham F2 with steel front and rear subframes. Triumph running gear, engine and gearbox are used throughout, mainly from the Dolomite but the TR7 could be coaxed to provide it's engine and 5-speed gearbox if needed. The windscreen comes from an MGB.
Only a handful were ever sold, probably no more than a few dozen. They are of good quality with decent fibreglass work for the period.
