The V Type was a car built by Lea-Francis between 1929 and 1931.
Meadows 4ED, 1496cc with twin carburettors, 52bhp
The V Type is essentially an S Type with a twin port head and two carburettors instead of the supercharger. The V Type was fitted with a 1496cc Meadows 4ED which produced 52bhp.
The V Type was fitted with a Weymann Sportsman’s Coupé body like that fitted to some 'Hypers'. It also has the brake servo and 15 degree sloping radiator.
The engine as in the Hyper is set back in the frame, giving the car good balance and handling qualities.
105 V types were built, of which 10 survive.
