The March 811 was a Formula 1 racecar which was raced in the 1981 season of Forumla one. The 811 marked the return of March to the championship after several years of absence.
The car was designed by Robin Herd and Alan Mertens. It was fitted with a Ford Cosworth DFV 3.0 V8. The car first raced at the French Grand Prix in 1981 at Avon.
The car proved to be very competitive but it was not successful. It often didn't qualify and it never started a race in pole, finished in 1st or set a new fastest lap. The best result was seventh with Derek Daly behind the wheel at the British Grand Prix.
