The Marendaz Special 11/55 was a car car produced between 1926 and 1930, it sold for £495 in 1930.
It was the first model to be made by Marendaz Special and was fitted with a 1496 cc side-valve 4-cylinder Anzani engine. The engine drove through a cone clutch (later a single-plate clutch was used) and a three or four-speed gearbox to a spiral bevel rear axle. The engine produced 55bhp and the car had a top speed of 75 mph (121 km/h).
The chassis was 104in long and had cantilever springs in the rear and double shock absorbers all round. Four wheel brakes were fitted with the front being pedal-operated and handbrake operating the rear wheels.
Only a handful were ever built.
