The Martin Plastics Body shell was sold in the 1950s as a complete body for fitment to a 1938-1954 Ford 8-10hp chassis. The body was supplied complete with scuttle, dashboard, wheel arches, returned edges, bonded front floor boards and re-inforced body fitting points.
A neat touch was the concealed door furniture, a finish many customisers seek today when building kit cars or hot rods. The kit helped to make pretty little car but very little is known about them.
The Martin body came with a separate bonnet and full width windscreen frame. The price of the complete body when given a primer finish was £100. There was also the available choice of opting for a plain bodyshell which cost £50.
The kit was also made so that it was available in left or right hand drive.
