The Maybach DSH was a luxury car luxury produced between 1934 and 1937 by the German carmaker Maybach-Motorenbau.

History and Profile[]

The DSH was nothing more than an evolution of the W6, which it replaced. The chassis and mechanics were kept. The cars were built on a steel base that was constructed with a U-shaped profile. They also had semi-elliptical springs and four drums braking system with cable control and Bosch-Dewandre vacuum booster. The DSH was fitted with a 3-speed semi-automatic gearbox.

The engine was a 5184 cm ³ unit with 6 cylinders with side valves. It was fed by two Solex double-body carburettors. The engine was able to deliver 130 hp at 3200 rpm, allowing the car to reach a top speed of between 135 and 140 km/h. The DSH, like the W6, did not sell well. Production figures are unknown as since different sources are conflicting. Some say only 50 cars were made and others say 140.

In any case, the DSH was replaced in 1937 by the Maybach SW38.
