The Maybach SW38 was a luxury car produced between 1936 and 1939.
The car was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show. It was fitted with the HL38 engine which had a displacement of 3790 cm³ and produced 140bhp (104 kW). This was obtained by increasing the stroke of the cylinders from 90 to 100 mm.
With this new engine, the SW38 was able to perform better when using poor quality petrol.
