The Maybach W1 was the first model of the car coming out of the Maybach factory. Only one copy was made in 1919, in order to test new technologies.
This model was very innovative for the time. Among other things, it was very modern and designed by Karl Maybach.
The vehicle had a brand new, six-cylinder engine with a power output of 46 hp (34 kW). The drive was transferred to the rear axle. The entire drive system was also designed by the creator of this company.
The chassis for it came from Daimler. This luxury vehicle could take three passengers including the driver.
