1928 Mercedes-Benz 26/220

The Mercedes-Benz 26/220 was the first model to be introduced after the merge between Daimler and Benz.

The car was designed by Prof. Ferdinand Porsche to be a sports-racing car. The cars were fitted with a 6789cc 6-cylinder supercharged engine. This enabled them to reach speeds of 110mph.

Only 146 examples of this model were made, but they were outstandingly successful on the racetrack.
