The Monaco was based around a Triumph Herald or Vitesse chassis. The Monaco proved popular as around 100 of these kits were sold. Often referred to as 'cigar shaped' the Monaco proved popular for it's excellent value for money and fun return.
It's strong selling point was simplicity, with not much in the way of extras to contend with. The Monaco build was straightforward with the one piece bodywork bolting to the Triumph chassis.
Some owners have been known to have fitted Rover V8s into the cars making them, which gave them a very competitive speed.
