The Speed Meteor was a car made by Rover between 1937 and 1939. It is believed that 641 cars were made in this time.

The Speed Meteor had a 2512cc six cylinder engine with overhead camshafts and pushrods. An optional extra with the engine was triple SU carburettors.

The engine was connected to a four speed gearbox via a single plate clutch. The engine could produce between 70-77bhp and propel the car up to over 80mph (129kmh).

The chassis was 9ft 7in and had semi-elliptical leaf springs all round. The brakes were Girling-rod operated and the curb weight of the car was 3108lb (1411kg).

The car cost between £415 and £425 when new in 1937.
