The Sbarro Royale is a replica Bugatti Royale built in 1979.

This replica of the Bugatti Royale cost 300,000 Swiss francs in 1979. The car measures six meters long and weighs almost 2.5 tons. It has two V8 Rover engines coupled together forming a 16 cylinder engine that produced 340 horsepower.

The car was ordered by Mr. Schnapka, a wealthy German. The car is not actually an exact replica of a Bugatti Royale.

To be closer to the original Sbarro used square head bolts typical of Bugatti. The equipment inside is much more modern and less nostalgic. This includes a telephone, air conditioning and bullet-resistant glass.

The famous elephant of the original Bugatti Royale was replaced by the Sbarro greyhound.
