The Big Nine was a car made by the Standard Motor Company between 1928 and 1931.
The Big Nine was fitted with a 1287cc four cylinder side valve engine that was capable of producing 25bhp.
The car was fitted with a three speed (four speed in 1931) gearbox and was connected to the engine via a single plate clutch. This helped the car reach a top speed of 54mph (87kmh).
The chassis was 8ft 3in and had semi-elliptical leaf prings on all four wheels.
The car cost £190 when new.
