The car was debuted at the 1957 Grand Prix where it did not finish due to an accident. The car endured success throughout 1957 and 1958 in roughly hard of its races in the hands of Tony Brooks, Stuart Lewis-Evans, Stirling Moss and Roy Salvadori.
