The Vauxhall Black Magic is a Vauxhall Chevette HS based concept car from 1979.

The interesting one-off came from the Vauxhall Design Centre which was the same place that had previously built the Silver Aero and Silver Bullet.

Wayne Cherry was head of design at the time and he had a major influence on transforming Vauxhalls. This car was Wayne Cherry's personal car in the 1970's for a period of time.

The car is an experiment in aerodynamics and drag reduction, with deep skirts and HSR style spoilers. After some years languishing on the Design Centre roof, Black Magic along with Silver Built and Silver Aero were saved and restored to their former glory.

The car is fitted with a 2279cc engine and a five-speed gearbox. The engine produced 118bhp.
